Performance by Marta Moreno Muñoz
After many changes, the event was finally held at a wonderful location called Cave Em Nazih, it is a renovated space with a beautiful cave like internal structure that was a perfect acoustic space for audio performances. The night started with the screening of The Unifiedfield video-performance series (which comprises of works by Nerea Martínez de Lecea, Marta Moreno Muñoz, Bean, Martha Atienza and Jennifer Campbell). +info:

This was received especially well by many women who came to us after the screening expressing their genuine gratitude as such works of female performance-based art is rarely seen in Lebanon. The rest of the night featured One Man Nation and a nice eclectic mix of established as well as up and coming Lebanese experimental artists such as Wormholes (Sharif Sehnaoui and Mazen Kerbaj), Jed Atoui, Anton Stator, Lillian Chlela and the always controversial Osman Arabi. The concerts were greeted astoundingly by an audience of over 150 people.
The experience was nothing short of priceless, the energy of the people are second to none and their enthusiasm revives the fire that burns within each of us. We sincerely hope to have the chance to invite some of the astonishing artists we have had the pleasure to discover, such as noise artist Osman Arabi, for future The Unifiedfield curatorials.
Between you and hatred is a river of love from which we all drink.* This graffitti was written as part of the installation at an abandoned building somewhere on the outskirts of Beirut for the site-specific performance Beirut, Hal Zarafat? +info: www.theunifiedfield.net/blog/beirut
Many thanks to Acousmatik System and friends for all their help and the many interesting anecdotes of Lebanon. Special thanks goes out to Ibrahim Zahreddine, Karim Attoui and Hady Saleh for their support in the production of this new piece, without which it would have been impossible.
This presentation was made possible with the support of Step Beyond Mobility Fund.
