body>data>space is a pioneering collective of artists and designers engaged in creating fascinating connections between performance, architecture, new media and virtual worlds. Using our own evolved collaboration methodology and networked creation processes, the group visions the future of the human body and its real-time relationship to evolving global, social and technological shifts.

This focus on the weave of the live body in digital interaction reflects on all of our own experiences in today’s world – our bodies are extending and evolving, our senses are enhanced, our social / work life is changing through the use of digital tools. At the base of this is the important issue of our bodies controlling and influencing the media data surrounding us.

body>data>space use pioneering, cutting edge performance, installation and interaction techniques to comment on these changes through the creation of innovative forms of art and entertainment. Journeys, street events, immersion environments and responsive spaces are all part of our core creation experience. We prioritise public involvement in the creative side of the work, in majority making events for the participation of others.

Formed in 2005, and emerging from previous digital ground-breaking organisations shinkansen and Future Physical, we have over 20 years work experience in the creative digital sector. Others come to the collective with fresh, topical and younger thinking. Together we offer our clients a highly diverse range of skills and deep knowledge from within the group, and we can produce and curate a wide variety of activities using our extensive joint experiences.

We employ our own collaboration methodology “The Weave” to assemble and enable groups, often gathered from diverse sectors, to explore, share, debate and create ideas together. We work in an interdisciplinary way, co-producing with and creating deep co-operation projects between sectors and peer group organisations across Europe. We opt to be part of and aim to influence the intercultural and socio political dialogue of today’s world – local to local and European to global.
