SAVVY Contemporary - The laboratory of the form ideas is an art and project space which aims at critically reflecting on and fostering the discourse between "Western art” and "Non-Western art", as well as bringing this subject matter to public consciousness. With art exhibitions and other performance channels like dance and music, it is intended to ignite an interest as well as effectuate inclusion and interaction with the recipients. Furthermore, discussion forums and a library accessible to all support this aim and enable a dialogue of cultures at eye level.

The art director with the new SAVVY Bag
SAVVY Contemporary´s exhibtions are fostering the dialogue between “western art” and “non-western art”. In this light, an upcoming independent curator, an artist from Europe or North-America and another artist from Africa, South-America, Asia or Australia are invited to a trialogue. This trialogue will be moderated by the curator, who will propose an exhibition subjet on art, science, sociological or philosophical issues and the process as well as result of this triangle will culminate in an exhibition and a publication to the exhibition. The aime is to realize outstanding, enterprising and illustrious curatorial and artistic projects and to give curators and artists the chance to work with other upcoming colleagues and to publish articles intended to research on the supposed discrepancies between “western art” and “non-western art”.
