Raffaela Leone founded 2007 in Catania Sicily (I) the no profit association Erbematte (Crazy grass) with the friend and curator Alessandra Ferlito to promote site specific actions to spread the awareness of contemporary art and they mainly choose urban actions and events performed in very unconventional venues, to stress the idea that art and culture should be intended as a way of communication able to express itself everywhere (even in CATANIA!!). We have chosen the non displaying space because it allows us to abandon the galleries conventional system and to dare more, with the awareness that the more you set yourself apart from the conventional art system, the more your identity is strengthened. The non-space, in this project, becomes the moving space, everywhere and anyway.
We have a Radio Program called Marte andata e ritorno (To Mars and return) www.radiozammu.it, we start in September again.
