A Proposed Slovak National Monument representing the 5 peaks of the Tatra Mountans (cracked in half to symbolise the fragility of Slovak identity and the fact that half the mountains grow out of Polish soil)
My recent work has been on the intersections between ecology and art--trying to use art to foster celebrations of, imaginations about, re-readings towards, care for, and criticism of the environment in everybody's various living spaces. This has turned me towards ecomimicry, the study of how to emulate nature in your designs of landscapes or buildings or artworks in order for them to be sustainable an/or promote ecological awareness and appropriate technology.
Some of my own work on ecomimicry, and also collaborative work with eco-artists and student designers, appears in 'Wild Design' published by North Atlantic Books.
