Przemysław El Emo Krzakiewicz (born in 1975 in Krakow). He studied at PWSFTviT in Łodz (The Lodz Film School, Poland), he is a member of Association of Polish Art Photographers and a co-founder of Visavis.pl. Photographers' Collective. (Visavis.pl providing an answer to digital revolution which allows everyone to take good photos from the technical point of view; the founders of Visavis.pl want to promote good photos and subjects which are not necessarily commercial. Their own vision of the world differentiates Visavis.pl from other agencies).
Documentary photography is for Przemek a means of entering public space where it acquires new meanings. In an objective medium of photography he searches for subjective significance which may sometimes be ironic, such as in a cycle entitled Chinese Agents where he photographed inflatable toys produced in China from the harmful vinyl polychloride. His works show the distance with which he approaches the reality and himself. His projects are full of sociological observations: portraits of diverse social groups undergoing economic, sexual and cultural changes due to political transformations or migrations as in a cycle entitled Leisure time which shows different ways of spending free time.

Selected projects:
Personal project
-One of the most important photo events in public spaces was an exhibition called Poles 2005 which later inspired Common ground. The artists portrayed people who spontaneously gathered in places connected with John Paul II in March and April 2005 when the Pope was on his deathbed. A year later the photographic portraits in large format were set up in front of the Curia in Krakow (and the famous “pope's window”).
The exhibition was viewed by over 300 thousand people who arrived to celebrate the first anniversary of the Pope's death, it also featured in a majority of TV reports.

Group project:
- The artist was also a co-organiser and artistic advisor of an exhibition called 802% above the norm. It was an exhibition of archival photographs of Henryk Makarewicz and Wiktor Pental dating back to 1960s and showing the life of a socialist town of Nowa Huta. Portraits of socialist "model workers" hung off the Palace of Culture and Science in Warszawa each of them in huge format, 1200 m2 The exhibition comprised a number of aspects, the most important one for Przemek was cityscape in Warszawa and reflections which the gigantic portraits of workers created for the modern day workers from the nearby office buildings. Organisers: Imago Mundi Foundation and Visavis.pl www.802procent.com
- Photo 2012, the artist is the author of this idea. The aim is to photograph Poland and Ukraine in a period leading up to Euro 2012.
However football is only to provide a distant background, the essence of the project is to portray diverse social groups within the context of changes which are taking place in the period leading up to this important sports event. At the moment the project has entered the stage of fund raising, compiling a team of photographers and presenting the idea of the project. The culmination is to coincide with the opening of the championships, exhibitions in cityscape and the publication of albums to document this interesting period in the history of Ukraine and Poland. www.photo2012.eu
