ABRAHAM HURTADO
Murcia, Spain. Licensed in Performing Arts at the Drama School in Murcia. He has worked with several directors and companies such as La Fura dels Baus, Jordi Cortés, Fleur Boonman, Erre que Erre, Francisco Camacho, Carlota Lagido, Meg Stuart/Damaged Goods, Frank Castorf. Volksbuehne Guest. In 2006 he premiered his first dance píese “Bipolar” with Kotomi Nishiwaki, presented in the Festival Intimate Strangers in the Volksbuehne, Berlin and Complicitats Festival in Barcelona. During 2007 he worked with Meg Stuart as the assistant of choreography for the piece “Blessed”. He also directed “I Was There” a dance piece composed for six women, presented in Mercat dels Flors, Barcelona and Festival Temp’s D’Images Portugal. Living in Berlin and working with video and Live Installations. First exhibition related with own videos and Live Installation in Galerie Tristesse deluxe, Berlin. Presented the Bridge on a Wall in collaboration with several artists. In 2009 he create BACK DOOR...a happenings party’s in Gallery’s and AADK Aktuelle Architektur Der Kultur with the musician Jochen Arbeit and the performance Artist Vania Rovisco, a platform for artists. Dance piece, Die Korper Ohne Uns (Creation 2009). In 2010 he develop a serie’s of Laboratory’s about the concept mind-body-brain in city’s like Barcelona, Lisbon, Berlin, Tel Aviv..as a final results he created a micro performance of each Lab with artists from the local cities. Presented AADK 5 hour Performance with Jochen Arbeit and Vania Rovisco. His last project “Welcome To Europe” presented in Paralel MANIFESTA 8.
