Marianna Hovhannisyan

Marianna Hovhannisyan (19/03/1986 - Armenia) has graduated from Armenian Open University, Department of Fine Arts in 2007. Her specialization and experience relate to the organization and coordination of contemporary art projects and exhibitions, such as coordination in Changes through Exchanges experimental educational project realized at Fine Arts Department (2006-2007, director Ruben Arevshatyan), assistance of Sarkis Zabunyan in the scope of Sarkis in Yerevan exhibition (2004, HAYART Center, Armenia), coordination of Soviet AgitArt: Restoration exhibition (2008, curator Beral Madra, artists Samvel Baghdasaryan, Armine Hovhannisyan). Several times she took part in the International Summer School for Art Curators organized by AICA Armenia. In 2008 she was one of the assistants of Strategies of History/Strategies of Art exhibition conceived in the framework of the 3rd Summer School and implemented in the scope of the 6th Gyumri International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Armenia (curators Dominique Abensour & Nazareth Karoyan). Recently she took part in l'Ecole du Magasin international curatorial training program (CNAC-Grenoble, France), a member of Session 18 group 2008-2009. Session 18 was invited to participate in 10th Lyon Biennale, France.
Currently Marianna is particularly interested in the methods and forms of collaboration in the field of contemporary art which carries out educational aspects.
